|THE GREAT PYRAMID |
- MY OPINION
APRIL 1, 2012
Greetings Dear Friends
Thank you so much to those of you who came to the Lovefest in Ancaster on March 23. It was another amazing event - very uplifting and mucho fun. Also thank you to those who came to the workshop that I co-facillitated with Gary Diggins on March 30th - it was a lovely afternoon. The articles - 'The Power of Mantra' and 'Do You Believe in Magic' that I referred to can be accessed by clicking here:
Finally, thank you to all who came to the Medicine Music concert, and to all the amazing musicians who contributed.
Something I'd like to tell you about - I'm involved with a group who are building an intentional community in Guelph - a place where we can live in an environment of shared values. If you are interested in such a thing and you'd like to know more about it, please feel free to contact me.
As a result of the discovery of the Bosnian pyramid, there is a renewed interest in pyramids in general, and a renewed questioning of the establishment's explanations of these enigmas.
This month's article is the conclusion of the series of articles on the Great Pyramid, offering some of my opinions.

THE GREAT PYRAMID - part 6
by Dennis Gaumond
Due to the recent discovery of an ancient pyramid in Bosnia, there has been renewed interest in all ancient pyramids and a renewed questioning of the explanations that have been given to us by the scientific establishment. The topsoil on top of the Bosnian pyramid carbon dates to 12,000 years ago. Other organic material on top of the pyramid, found by two Italian archaeologists, Dr. Ricardo Brett and Niccolo Bisconti, dates to 25,000 years ago. This suggests that there was an advanced civilization much older than 6,000 years - the age of the Sumerian - which, conventional thought tells us, is the oldest civilization. (For videos on the Bosnian pyramid, click here: Bosnia Pyramid and here: Bosnia Pyramid 2)
In light of this recent discovery, I've decided to share an excerpt from my book, 'Why Is Life?', which synopsizes a great deal of info about the Great Pyramid in Egypt. This will appear in increments over the next several newsletters. Here is the sixth installment:
After all the research I've done regarding the Great Pyramid, I have a few beliefs and opinions about it, although none of them are 'written in stone'. Rather than arriving at conclusive answers, it seems more important to be asking better questions. It seems obvious to me that, whatever the 'truth' may be, the conventional viewpoints are sadly lacking.
I do feel inclined to believe that the Great Pyramid was built long before the conventional date of about 2500 BC. Whether it was built by some previous civilization, Atlanteans, 'gods' or some race of extra-terrestrials, I'm not sure, although none of those possibilities seem far-fetched to me. The idea that it was built by slaves pushing enormous blocks up wooden ramps seems much more unlikely.
Some researchers, including Alan Alford, believe that it was the first Egyptian pyramid, and that the other lesser pyramids came later, possibly built by pharaohs trying to recapture the glory of an older age. It seems that, the newer the pyramid, the more poorly it was constructed, with far less precision and complexity. I tend to agree with this position.
In terms of the function of the Great Pyramid, maybe it was designed to do many things. It seems questionable that some E.T. race such as the Anunnaki would have built it as a power plant. If they were advanced enough to come to Earth in spaceships 300,000 years ago to mine gold, then surely they would have had a simpler way of harnessing energy than to go through the enormous effort of building such a pyramid. Perhaps it was not an enormous effort. That implies some very advanced technology. Or possibly it served many functions, which justified such an effort.
I like to believe that the prime purpose of this great structure was to help humanity in the process of enlightening, to preserve in the minds of humans, the knowledge of who we are and what we are doing in this dimension. I believe that, all through history, there have been pockets of awareness, groups of people who have known of our quest for enlightenment, who have kept this knowledge preserved while the bulk of humanity was sound asleep. I believe that enlightened beings, whether you want to call them E.T.s , avatars or ascended masters, have often come to Earth to offer teachings and guidance, and that the Pyramid and the Egyptian culture that followed could have derived from such efforts. They were certainly obsessed with the afterlife, mystery schools and mystical knowledge.
I believe that the power elite throughout history has always had more access to this knowledge and that, with the odd exception, they have hoarded it, used it for their own gain, kept it from the masses - because they sought power. I believe this is still the case. This quest for power shows that, for the most part, these ruling classes did not have a clear understanding of the essential message of this knowledge and that they have been very imbalanced in their outlook. This imbalance has taken mankind off course time and time again, the mystical knowledge becoming more and more distorted, until the arrival of some new leader who once again offered teachings and guidance. I believe that this is also true of the Egyptians.
At this point, I would like to quote visionary psychic, Gordon Michael Scallion from his book, 'Notes From the Cosmos':
"The Great Pyramid's purpose, as constructed, was multiple in design. Bending time was its focus, so as to provide a process for spiritual initiation. However, the manner in which this was accomplished provided other benefits for its people. These varied from increased crop yield, weather control, a form of electrical power, and a learning institute for the study of the heavens - astronomy, astrology and cosmic forces, mathematics, chemistry, inner world dimensions and the seven levels of initiation. All were part of its design."
Interesting. What do you think?
