In This Issue
Greetings Dear Friends
After a busy Fall, it's time to make like a snowbird and head south for the winter. We'll be leaving for Costa Rica on Dec. 14. That means that this Wednesday's chant will be the last of the season. Hope to see some of you there.

Jennis has had fun playing in Toronto and Guelph recently - thanx to all who attended. We have a few more gigs before I leave - check out the deets below.

This series of articles comes from the section in 'Why Is Life' called 'Chakras and the Tree of Life' - seeking an understanding of the way that we humans interface with the vibrational universe. This month's entry focuses on the solar plexus chakra.

If you'd like to access past newsletters containing articles on the Big Shift, the Physics of Mysticism, Magic, the Power of Mantra, Conciousness and other topics, please visit the 'newsletter' page of my website:

The solar plexus chakra is the seat of our will. It is the center of our self-esteem, ego and personality. The solar plexus provides the force behind our will, our ability to act consciously, make decisions and follow through with strength and endurance. Honoring oneself means loving and respecting oneself and thus having the power and courage to take risks, generate action, and handle stress.
- Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Aspects/Issues: When balanced in this power center, a person demonstrates great strength of character, strength of will, decisiveness, strong ethics and generosity. With a strong sense of self, one is also better able to follow one's inner guidance and thereby develop strong intuitive powers. Such an individual feels trustworthy and is also able to trust others. Balance at this level of consciousness results in a person who has great personal power and self-confidence.
Imbalance in this power center can be associated with fears of rejection, failure, criticism and responsibility. This could lead to a weak-willed, insecure, indecisive person, someone who is oversensitive to criticism or someone who hides those feelings by trying too hard to be the opposite. Someone who is over-concerned with power, exercising inappropriate ways of achieving power, is often an individual with imbalance at this level of consciousness. One's challenge in this power center has to do with respecting oneself and others and not compromising one's spirit or honor code for money or to appease some fear. By developing a strong sense of integrity, power is not abused in this center. Instead, we are able to empower ourselves and others.
- Physical Functions of the Solar Plexus: This is the body's powerhouse of energy, the body's 'sun', symbolized by the color yellow. The solar plexus animates the body and keeps it alive. The main physical function in this area is that of digestion, including the stomach and small intestines. Organs such as the kidneys, spleen, gall bladder and pancreas relate to this chakra. The liver, which filters toxins and stores nutrients, is the largest organ governed by the solar plexus. This organ is therefore affected by bad diet, pollution, drug and alcohol abuse.
- Physical Malfunctioning: Energy blockages in this chakra could manifest as problems with the digestive system (ulcers, gallstones), intestinal problems, food disorders (bulimia, anorexia), liver and adrenal dysfunction (hepatitis), diabetes and arthritis. Psychologically, the solar plexus is also responsible for digesting emotions. Trauma, anger, conflicting and stagnant emotions can be held here, bringing about many of the physical ailments mentioned above.

We are playing in Toronto on Fri., Dec 4 and in
Picton at the Waring House on Wed & Thurs, Dec. 9 & 10.
Jennis at Culture Makers'
'Festival of House Culture'
Check out this wonderful festival we're playing at:
Toronto's Second Annual Festival of House Culture, a community-building weekend of music, arts, food, conversations, workshops, and other fun activities - all in people's homes!

The festival is December 3-6, 2015, with simultaneous programming in Little Italy/Trinity Bellwoods and The Junction/Roncy/West Bend. Our event's going to be on Friday, December 4th at 577 Indian Grove in the Junction. We will be the featured act culminating an evening of performances between 8-10:30pm.
This festival will present live music of all kinds, theatre, dancing, eating, art-making, neighbourhood walks, poetry, puppetry, storytelling, gift-swapping, inspiring conversations, and lots more. All events will have ample time to get to know your neighbours, make new friends, and hang out. There's a suggested donation of $10-20 per event, though if you are attending several, you may want to pay less at each. All proceeds go to the artists!
