NATIONAL WHISTLEBLOWERS DAY

AUGUST, 2019

Greetings Dear Friends

It's been one of the busiest summers in memory. I'm very excited to have my paintings showing for 6 weeks throughout August at the Red Brick in Guelph. The official opening is on Thursday, August 1 - see details below. Also, Jennis' CD release parties in October are quickly drawing near - see details below.

In alignment with the latest theme - 'what can we know?' - this month we'll focus on honoring those who have risked a great deal to bring us the truth. July 30th is National Whistleblowers Day, so this month's article will honor these brave heroes.

Next month we'll look at the current state of journalism, the mainstream media versus the alternative media, the age of information wars.

I recently wrote this goofy little pome to remind myself of what is really important.

sacred

we are all sacred beings on a sacred path to sacredness.
we come from sacredness, we are born into sacredness.
everyday we are sacreducated so that we are better prepared for this sacredible journey.
we are sacredulous to learn that the sacred is not the opposite of the profane.
when we arrive at sacredness, we will be sacready.
we will recognize that we were dismembered.
we will remember that we were discognized.
we will realize that almost everything we thought we knew
is sacrediculous.
we will see that everything, even evil and hatred, is sacred.
how could it not be?

NATIONAL WHISTLEBLOWERS DAY

July 30th has been set aside as a day when we can pay our respects and show our gratitude to the heroes who have paid huge prices to bring us the truth. Some of them have been branded as traitors, some have been jailed, some lost their jobs, some have lost their lives. They have bravely stood up and did their best to expose corruption and wrongdoing in governments, corporations and situations around the world.

Here is a short video called "The Top Ten Whistleblowers in History":

There are many, many others who are not mentioned in this video. Some are journalists, some are scientists and physicians, some are insiders from the military, from corporate boardrooms, from the CIA, FBI, etc.

One of my personal faves, is a guy named Michael C. Ruppert. He is an ex LAPD narcotics officer who blew the whistle on the CIA's involvement in cocaine trafficking, an operation that implicated the Bush family and the Clintons. He devoted his life to uncovering truths. A few months after the 9/11 twin towers incident, I went to see him speak at University of Toronto. Over the course of 4 hours he laid out a very efficient and thorough accounting of all the hidden motives and info pertaining to 9/11, who benefitted, how it was a way to justify the invasion of Afghanistan, etc. I was blown away. A Google search will yield lots of info about him.

I am deeply grateful to the whistleblowers and hope that someday they will be vindicated, their stories told and their legacies honored. They are true heroes.

ART SHOW
I'm thrilled and honored to be showing my art, along with the art of my good friend Oxanna Adams. The show will run from July 29 to September 7 at the Red Brick, 8 Douglas St., downtown Guelph. The opening will be on Thursday, August 1 from 7 to 9pm - finger foods provided. Here are the links to both of our art websites:
